Instant Places

Festivals: M:ST 7 Biennial | September 26 - October 11, 2014.

SLEEPER is a new audiovisual work by Laura Kavanaugh and Ian Birse (AKA Instant Places). In SLEEPER we travel to a nearly distant future in which all communication takes place through synaesthetic connections between images and sound. For MST:7 Kavanaugh and Birse use purpose-built hardware/software systems to present SLEEPER as an extended performance with projections and multichannel sound. SLEEPER is being developed with the generous support of the Ontario Arts Council, The Canada Council for the Arts, and the Judith and Norman Alix gallery in Sarnia Ontario.
